Two weeks of comedy gold from the world's best comedians.

Sydney is in for a comedy feast when Just For Laughs Sydney 2026 returns for its 14th edition, bringing a bumper lineup of international stars, Australian favourites and emerging talent to stages across the city.

Running from November 9 - 22, 2026, the festival offers everything from big-ticket stand-up to musical comedy, irreverent podcasts and showcases celebrating the diversity of Australia's comedy scene. With performances at the Sydney Opera House, State Theatre, Enmore Theatre and Comedy Store, there's a show to suit just about every funny bone.

Just For Laughs Sydney 2026: The Lineup

Among the international headliners are British comedian Greg Davies, musical maestro Bill Bailey, American favourite Gabriel Iglesias, Irish comic Dara Ó Briain and musical comedian Morgan Jay. Online sensations Dan and Phil also join the bill, alongside Adam Kay, the former doctor turned bestselling author and comedian.

New additions bring even more variety. Indian-American comedian Zarna Garg heads to the Sydney Opera House with her Million Dollar Excuses Tour, while Malaysian comedian Jason Leong draws on life, loss and relationships in In Laughing Memory. Both bring a personal perspective to comedy, proving there's plenty of room for more than just punchlines.

The Just For Laughs All-Star Gala

One of the festival's biggest nights will be the Just For Laughs All-Star Gala at the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall on November 21.

Hosted by The Cheap Seats duo, Melanie Bracewell and Tim McDonald, the gala features a stellar lineup including Tom Cardy, Geraldine Hickey, Anisa Nandaula, David Nihill, Denise Scott, Rhys James and Matt Okine. It's a comedy degustation, a platter of delicious comedy morsels to suit every taste.

Australian Comedy Takes Centre Stage

The local showcases are equally enticing. Returning after selling out four performances last year, Women Aren't Funny will be hosted by Abbie Chatfield, with Becky Lucas, Nina Oyama, Steph Broadbridge, Dr Esmé Louise James and Lizzy Hoo on the bill.

Michael Hing hosts the Asia Comedy Showcase, featuring Ting Lim, Harry Jun, Dilruk Jayasinha, Neel Kolhatkar, Jordan Leung and Annie Louey.

Making its debut, Aboriginal Comedy Allstars brings together First Nations performers Andy Saunders, Janty Blair, Jay Wymarra, Kevin Kropinyeri, Sean Choolburra and Tarsh Jago.

Then there's the outrageous and super-camp Reuben Kaye's Big Gay Show. The irrepressible Kaye will be joined by Rhys Nicholson, Michelle Brasier, Cassie Workman, Guneet Kaur, Jordan Barr and Scout Boxall.

Alternative Comedy and Live Podcasts

For audiences who prefer their comedy a little less predictable, Demi Lardner returns to host The Alternative Show. Fans of the podcast Mid Flight Brawl can experience Nick Cody and Luke Heggie IRL with a live show. Not to be outdone, Steph and Holly Davey present their first live staging of Girls Next Door.

Supported by the NSW Government through Destination NSW, Just For Laughs Sydney 2026 is more than a run of comedy gigs. It's a celebration of humour in all its forms, and an extremely good excuse to come out at night and bring this city back to life.

If there's anything we can all use right now, it's a good laugh, and with the range and calibre of comedy talent packed into this year's festival, Just For Laughs is guaranteed to deliver in spades.
