Meet the Stars of Blanc de Blanc Sydney 2026
Meet the incredible performers bringing Sydney's most outrageous circus/cabaret spectacular, Blanc de Blanc, to life.
Blanc de Blanc scours the planet to find the very best performers doing the very best acts. And with the internationally acclaimed circus and cabaret spectacular returning to The Grand Electric in Surry Hills, its 2026 Sydney cast is certainly no exception.
From world champion dancers to musical theatre stars and charismatic entertainers, the Blanc de Blanc Sydney cast brings together an extraordinary mix of talent, personality and theatrical flair. Here are just four of the incredible artists bringing the magic to the stage this season.
Abi Wells

Born and raised in Sydney, Abi Wells feels fortunate to call the Harbour City home. She loves life in the Inner West and escaping to Sydney's beautiful beaches. She has been dancing since she could walk. Now performing full-time for two years, she specialises in dance, bringing movement and character to the stage. Career highlights include appearing in Blanc de Blanc Encore in Brisbane, joining the original cast of Late Night Vice and being cast for Brisbane Festival.
In Blanc de Blanc, Abi combines her love of performance with the chance to inhabit a glamorous, playful character. She enjoys the costumes and the balance of elegance and cheekiness, finding the role a natural fit for her personality. She's delighted to return to a show that lets her have fun on and off stage, drawing on years of dance training and theatrical confidence.
“I can't wait to be on the Blanc De Blanc stage yet again.”
Alexander Makardish
Originally from California, Alexander Makardish is visiting Sydney for the very first time.
His career has taken him to London, Melbourne and Brisbane, and he's keen to discover the city beyond the stage.

A performer since toddlerhood, he specialises in acting and clowning, particularly Commedia dell'arte, the expressive Italian theatrical tradition. Rather than naming one defining career milestone, Alexander values the unusual, imaginative artists he's met while travelling and performing around the world. That curiosity and sense of play make him a natural fit for Blanc de Blanc, which combines theatricality, comedy and spectacle.
For Alexander, the show gives audiences permission to step away from everyday worries and enjoy laughter and lightness. He hopes Sydney audiences leave refreshed, amused and ready to embrace the unexpected, wherever the evening takes them.
“My favourite thing about Blanc is giving the audience a chance to leave their troubles at the door & to embrace a night of sensational levity & hysterics.”
Melanie Hawkins
Originally from Adelaide, Melanie Hawkins has spent around five years living in Sydney on and off throughout her career. Her performing journey began with dance lessons at age three, and she has worked professionally since she was 19. Her skills span dance, singing and choreography.

Career highlights include touring Australia alongside Hugh Jackman in Broadway to Oz, performing stadium-scale musical theatre with one of her idols, and joining the original cast of Strictly Ballroom The Musical. She calls working on a new production directed by Baz Luhrmann a genuine “pinch-me” experience.
Melanie loves Blanc de Blanc for the creative freedom it gives performers. Its mix of glamour, humour and sensuality allows her to explore different sides of her stage persona while keeping audiences entertained. For her, the show brings together the ingredients of a great night out, with room for polish, playfulness and surprise. Its blend of sophistication and silliness keeps every moment lively.
“I just think its the perfect show.”
Mykhailo Makarov (Misha)

Born in Kyiv, Ukraine, Mykhailo Makarov, known as Misha, is visiting Sydney for the first time and is eager to perform for local audiences and explore the city. He brings more than 16 years of international experience and specialises in dance and bonebreaking, a movement discipline requiring exceptional flexibility and control. His styles include experimental dance, hip-hop and animation. His achievements include becoming a two-time champion of China and a world champion dancer, recognition reflecting years of dedication to his craft.
In Blanc de Blanc, Misha is drawn to the production's bold visual identity and willingness to be different. Its combination of style, flash and originality suits a performer whose work pushes the boundaries of movement. As he prepares for his Sydney debut, he's excited to bring his skills to an enthusiastic new audience and experience the city for himself, both onstage and off.
“My favourite thing about blanc de blanc - it’s a style, it’s flash, its originality.”
