Blanc de Blanc Returns to Sydney's Grand Electric
The international circus and cabaret sensation Blanc de Blanc returns to Sydney's Grand Electric for another outrageous season.
Blanc de Blanc is back in Sydney, and it's one of the wildest, most gobsmackingly brilliant shows you are ever likely to see. It's literally like shaking a magnum full of fermented talent, popping the cork, and watching an explosive fountain of glorious entertainment arc over a stupefied audience.

The internationally acclaimed circus and cabaret spectacular returns to its spiritual home, The Grand Electric in Surry Hills, for a brand-new Sydney season opening 28 October 2026. And with its Spiegeltent-like atmosphere, vintage decor and custom performance-ready fixtures, it's arguably one of the best venues for Blanc de Blanc's unique, multi-dimensional style of entertainment.
Blanc de Blanc Returns to Sydney
It's a decade since Blanc de Blanc first dazzled audiences at the Sydney Opera House in 2016. Three years later, Blanc de Blanc Encore enjoyed another sellout season at the iconic venue. In 2023, a revamped production of Blanc de Blanc Encore headlined the inaugural season at the newly refurbished Grand Electric theatre in Surry Hills.
Now, the show is back for what promises to be its most ambitious Sydney staging yet, blending spectacular circus skills with cabaret, burlesque, comedy and vintage glamour.
From world-class acrobats and aerialists to cheeky humour and seductive stage performances, Blanc de Blanc has built an international following, captivating audiences from London's West End to Las Vegas with its distinctive mix of high-energy entertainment and sophisticated mischief.
Producer Jess Copas says the new season will feature theatrical surprises alongside some much-loved favourites.
“This remount will be one of our most ambitious stagings of the production yet,” she says, “and will herald many new theatrical surprises and will bring back some beloved classics, including a rather infamous hot-tub scene!”

Meet the Blanc de Blanc Cast
The international cast brings together an impressive collection of circus and performance talent, several of whom will be appearing on a Sydney stage for the first time.
Leading the festivities is American performer Alexander Makardish, known for his charismatic hosting style and contemporary cabaret work. Having hosted Strut & Fret's Sabrage in London and Blanc de Blanc Uncorked in Australia, Makardish brings experience in clowning, Commedia dell'arte and theatrical performance to his role as French host.
Joining him is world champion contortionist Mykhailo “Misha” Makarov, a Ukrainian performer, choreographer and director whose distinctive style combines experimental dance, hip hop, popping and extraordinary physical control. A multiple international dance champion, Makarov has performed around the world, most recently presenting his solo show during the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Also making their Sydney debut are award-winning aerialists Duo Coco & Marie, comprising Canadian circus artist Corentin Lemaitre Auger and French performer Marie Lebot. Both bring extensive international experience to the production, having worked with leading contemporary circus companies and performed on stages around the world.
Auger began circus training at just eight years old before specialising in duo trapeze at Canada's National Circus School. After winning five prizes at the international YoungStage circus festival with a former partner, Auger went on to perform with Cirque du Soleil's OVO. More recently, the artist has focused on duo straps, a discipline featured in Blanc de Blanc Encore.

For Lebot, the circus dream began even earlier. Determined to become a trapeze artist by the age of six, she trained in circus arts, dance, gymnastics and theatre in France before moving to Canada to pursue her ambitions. Her career has included performances with Cirque du Soleil, Dragone, Cirque Éloize and Les 7 Doigts, alongside appearances at international festivals and competitions.
The cast also features Australian performers with impressive musical theatre and dance credentials.
Sydney-born Abi Wells trained in classical ballet at Newtown High School of the Performing Arts before completing the TNSPA Pro full-time dance course. Her credits include Strut & Fret's Late Night Vice, Lassu, Mardi Gras and Souled Out Festival.
Melbourne performer Melanie Hawkins brings extensive stage experience, with credits spanning Saturday Night Fever, Wicked, The Rocky Horror Show, Strictly Ballroom the Musical and Hugh Jackman's Broadway to Oz arena tour. A familiar face within the Strut & Fret family, this marks her fifth production with the company.
