Experience the joy of dance in the heart of Sydney Harbour on Saturday 24 June.
The day includes free classes, company rehearsal viewings, pre-professional year workshops, huge discounts and giveaways – it’s an unmissable experience for any dance lover.
From hip-hop and jazz to contemporary and ballet, there will be free taster sessions running throughout the day with some of the industry's best dance teachers. These beginner-friendly classes are the perfect opportunity to try something new or revisit an old passion.
Visitors will have the opportunity to step behind the curtain and witness a free viewing of Sydney Dance Company’s ensemble rehearsing with Artistic Director Rafael Bonachela for his upcoming world premiere Up Close: Somos. Meaning “we are” in Spanish, this new work will feature a cascade of intimate solos, duets and trios with a distinct Latin flavour.
For those wishing to build strength and target challenging areas, Conditioning Studio Manager, Felicity McGee, is offering free 10-minute postural assessments in our state-of-the-art Conditioning Studio.
