After huge success in Bondi and Green Square, XtraClubs, Australia’s first self-service, tech-enhanced wellness brand, is expanding to Marrickville this December.

Set to open December 8, 2025, XtraClubs is transforming how Australians recover, recharge and relax. Once reserved for elite athletes - saunas, steam rooms and ice baths are now becoming part of everyday wellness, and XtraClubs is making them accessible to everyone.

The Science Behind the Experience

Finnish Sauna: The Finnish sauna has the most consistent evidence regarding health benefits. They have been shown to decrease the risk of health outcomes such as hypertension, respiratory conditions, cardiovascular concerns, musculoskeletal disorders and may also improve mental wellbeing and sleep.

About the Founders

Brothers Anthony and James Simonetta, alongside Simon Hamilton, founded XtraClubs from a personal mission to make wellness more accessible. Two years ago, Anthony, then 130kg, stressed, and exhausted, found rejuvenation in saunas but struggled to find affordable, flexible access.

“I wanted a place where I could go anytime, stay as long as I wanted, and enjoy premium facilities without paying top dollar,” says Anthony.

A Bondi Beach ice bath challenge and viral response proved the demand was real. Within months, the team raised over $2 million and opened their first two clubs in record time.
