Sydney lights up beautifully each December with a huge variety of Christmas Lights. From understated fairy lights to blindingly bright displays and full-blown Christmas wonderland walkthroughs, there is no shortage of Christmas lights right across Sydney. 📍 North Shore


St Ives & Upper North Shore

  • 26 Nicholson Avenue, St Ives – classic big lights display supporting charity.

  • Borgnis St, Davidson - huge, interactive walk through display

  • Hall Road, Hornsby

  • Ryan Ave, Hornsby Heights


Sydney's Best Christmas Lights

Mosman

  • Prince Albert Avenue, Mosman – one of Sydney’s staple Christmas light streets.

  • 2 Magic Grove, Mosman – giant Santa, music and bubbles — great for kids.


Northern Beaches

  • Gondola Rd, Narrabeen – various houses participating right along the street, great for an evening walk.


Willoughby & Lower North Shore

  • First, Second, Third & Fourth Avenues, Willoughby – great for a festive walk!

  • Emmett Street, Crows Nest 


Other Locations

  • 28 Lockwood Street, Asquith – synchronised lights with music.

  • Sydney Road (including Brett Ave, Margaret Ave, Plateau Close), Hornsby Heights – around 50 homes decorated.

  • 22 Bradfield Road, Lindfield & 22 Adelaide Avenue, East Lindfield – established individual displays.


📍 Sydney CBD


  • Martin Place Christmas Tree & Cross Mall Lighting – Sydney's most iconic Christmas light display.

  • Darling Harbour & Darling Square – themed light installations and glowing pathways.

📍 Inner West (Newtown – Marrickville & Nearby)


  • Second Street, Ashbury (nearby Inner West but often visited with Newtown/Marrickville routes) – nearly every house lit up with Christmas lights, many supporting charity efforts.

  • Burwood Road, Concord  – 100,000+ lights with music-sync at No.191.
