SASHABOO Kidswear is the Australian Brand Turning Everyday Dressing Into Creative Play
For many families, it’s a familiar scene — a wardrobe full of clothes, toys scattered across the floor, and yet the same quiet refrain: “I’m bored.”

It’s this everyday moment that sparked the idea behind SASHABOO, an Australian kidswear brand created by local mum and creative, Tatiana Burkett. Rather than adding to the noise of more toys or more clothing, SASHABOO explores a simple question: what if getting dressed could become part of play?
Where Play Meets Everyday Dressing
At the centre of the concept is the TeeBoo™ — an oversized T-shirt that, at first glance, feels understated. Look closer, and it’s designed with soft attachment areas that allow children to add and rearrange BooPatch™ pieces, transforming what they wear into something interactive. What begins as getting dressed often shifts into imaginative play, with children building characters, stories and their own small worlds.
There are no instructions or set outcomes. The design encourages open-ended creativity, allowing children to engage at their own pace. In the process, they naturally begin to explore letters, numbers and storytelling — not as structured learning, but as part of play that feels intuitive and self-directed.
Designed for Real Life
For parents, the appeal lies in how seamlessly it fits into daily routines. Whether at home, in the car or out at a café, the TeeBoo™ offers a screen-free way to keep children engaged, often turning otherwise restless moments into something calmer and more manageable.

The timing feels particularly relevant as school holidays approach, when routines shift and families look for simple ways to keep children occupied. Lightweight and easy to pack, the TeeBoo™ lends itself to travel, outings and quiet time between activities.
There’s also a considered approach to how the garments are made. Crafted from premium organic cotton, each piece is designed to be soft, breathable and durable enough for everyday wear. The oversized fit allows it to move with children as they grow, positioning it as something longer-lasting rather than quickly outgrown.
A Local Idea, Grounded in Experience
Each TeeBoo™ arrives in a reusable box with a BooPatch™ included, while additional sets come in cotton storage bags - a practical detail for keeping pieces together at home or on the go.

For founder Tatiana Burkett, the idea is rooted in lived experience. “It’s about connection,” she says. “I created SASHABOO because I was living that exact moment - so many things around, but nothing that truly kept their attention.”
In the end, SASHABOO doesn’t try to reinvent children’s clothing entirely. Instead, it reframes it - turning something ordinary into a quiet opportunity for creativity, connection and play, woven into the rhythm of everyday life.
