From barefoot bowls to the more traditional type (ie, with your shoes on!), Marrickville Bowling Club hosts competitive and social games, including the LGBTQIA-friendly Unbiased Bowls on Sundays from 10:30am.
Although they’re well known across Sydney as a popular live music venue, Marrickville Bowling Club is also a renowned sports facility, with male, female and mixed doubles competing in the Royal NSW Bowling Association championship tournaments.
With live music in the main bar from Thursdays to Sundays, a games machine area, large TV screens hosting popular sports matches, and sheltered outdoor seating alongside 9 bowling greens (all of which are accessible to hire for private parties or functions, pending availability), Marrickville Bowling Club is an all-year-round entertainment and dining mecca.
They’ve even been known to host indoor bowls matches!
There’s also a bistro, Fitzroy’s Kitchen, open Tuesdays to Sundays for lunch and dinners, providing snacks, main meals and desserts, with options for the ankle-biters and dishes to share.
