The Sydney Beer Footy & Food Festival returns for its 10th Birthday in 2026, and aims to break world records.

The Beer Footy & Food Festival is making a monumental return to its spiritual home at Henson Park this year, marking a major milestone as the beloved grassroots festival celebrates its 10th anniversary. What began as a simple idea - bringing together great footy, great food and great beer on the Iconic Henson Park hill - has grown into one of Sydney’s most iconic community sporting events.

The headline attraction returning in 2026 is the fan-favourite Beer Mile, with organisers aiming to break the spectator world record crowd after more than 5,500 people attended last year. The event has become a defining moment of the festival, combining chaos, competition and a famously loud hilltop crowd.

This year also introduces new additions to the Henson Park experience, including The Reggies, a tongue-in-cheek supporter section inspired by rugby league cult figure Reg Regan. Fans who purchase Reggies tickets will receive themed merchandise, with all profits going to a local charity. Also new for 2026 is the Billy “Eats” Moore Food Precinct, expanding the festival into nearby parkland with food trucks, family-friendly entertainment and activities across the day.

On the field, Henson Park will host a full day of rugby league featuring the Newtown Jets and other top-level fixtures, delivering the trademark atmosphere from the opening whistle through to the final match. Beyond the football, fans can expect a full festival lineup of craft breweries, street food vendors, and live entertainment - all contributing to the unmistakable experience.

As the Beer Footy & Food Festival marks 10 years, this year’s event is once again set to deliver a day that celebrates everything fans love about suburban rugby league — community, chaos, and a cold drink on the hill. Buy your tickets HERE.
