Shop Local in Lockdown - 2075 (St Ives)

It's no secret these lockdowns suck. But for some, these lockdowns have implications far beyond just 'being stuck inside'. For a lot of small businesses the inability to trade properly, total loss of foot traffic and ever changing restrictions have a real and detrimental impact. We've put together these guides to give you a reason to get out of the house - but to also link you with businesses in your suburb that might be doing it tough. Get out there and show your support!

+ Stanley St Cafe - 15-17 Stanley St, St Ives

Straight from the horses mouth - takeaway from SSC is a VIBE. The team behind your favourite brunch spot are working hard behind the scenes to keep providing St Ives with its caffeine fix. Pop in and grab some takeaway food and of course - coffee. You can order in-store or call beforehand - 8095 0484

+ Pattison's Patisserie - Shop 3, 237 Mona Vale Rd, St Ives

These guys serve up some of the best baked goods in town - both sweet and savoury. The St Ives location is operating almost as normal with the exception of indoor dining. All patrons must be wearing a mask. Coffee/food must be taken away but the full range is available in store.

+ Stanley St Butcher - 15 Stanley St, St Ives

If the sign on the door says open, you're in luck. These guys are (thankfully) remaining open throughout this lockdown for takeaway/pickup. Although you can't just stroll into the store and join the line, in-store numbers are very limited and you can often find Jonty taking orders from out the front. They can lock us down but they can't take away our Biltong!

+ Chargrill Charlie's - 213A Mona Vale Rd, St Ives

Do you feel like chicken tonight? And fries? And a selection of amazing salads? Good. Because Chargrill Charlie's is still open for takeaway. You must wear a mask and there is a limited number of patrons allowed in store. There are no dine-in options available.

+ Sana Kitchen & Cafe - Shop 3-4/ 351 Mona Vale Rd, St Ives

Poor Sana Cafe have not had the greatest start to their new lives in St Ives. This Gluten-free, whole-foods venue opened it's doors only two weeks ago - just to be smacked with new restrictions because of the lockdowns. Thankfully, they are still up and running offer takeaway options and we have been seeing some rave reviews so far! Go and check out their new digs and welcome these guys to the neighbourhood.

+ Cafe Milligram - Shop 3-4/ 351 Mona Vale Rd, St Ives

Nestled at the back of St Ives Village, adjacent to Nextra St Ives, sits Milligram Cafe who take their coffee very very seriously. Fortunately, they will still be providing this liquid gold to residents throughout the lockdown.

+ Brew Crew - Shop 4/5 Durham Ave, St Ives

Situated in the outside retail area, closer to Mona Vale Rd, Brew Crew is still open and offering takeaway options for coffee, baked goods as well as hot meals. WE have it on food authority that the bacon + egg sandwich with tomato relish is unbeatable - along with Brew Crews service, sounds like a winning combination to me!

+ Pet Connection Shop 25c - St Ives Shopping Village (166 Mona Vale Rd)

Fortunately, Pet Care is recognised as essential on compassionate grounds and that means the Pet Connection is staying open! Pop in for all your essential pooch/pussy cat needs - you must following restriction guidelines (mask - social distancing).

+ Eden Gardens - 307 Lane Cove Road, Macquarie Park

It's been proven time and time again that gardening + being in nature has a very positive effect on mental health. So why not pop down the road to Eden Gardens? Did you know the Macquarie Park location is set across 2.5 ACRES which makes social distance a cinch! QR code check-in and masks are mandatory.

+ Nextra St Ives - Shop 23 - St Ives Shopping Village (166 Mona Vale Rd)

Even though the news isn't the best at the moment, you can still pop into Nextra St Ives to grab it. These guys are still operating, just under restricted trading hours. They stock the latest publications, school supplies, homewares/gifts + heaps more.

+ Wildflower Gardens - Contactless Nursery - 420 Mona Vale Rd, St Ives

Given we're spending a lot more time inside, why not brighten up your living space with some Australian native plants? The Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Gardens are now offering a contactless delivery service. You can jump onto the website and check out their stock list and then simply submit a form to arrange contactless collection during business hours!
